Takashi Doscher - Director Spotlights
It has been an exciting week for one of our members, director and writer Takashi Doscher.
This week he was interviewed and showcased by two different blogs for his work in narrative and documentary film.
He was named as an “Athletic Capital Hero” for his accomplishments on the slopes of Kilimanjaro this January. As Dan Adams writes-
I had the special pleasure of working with Takashi Doscher on Mission Kilimanjaro this past January and was very impressed with his ability to confront adversity. For 10 grueling days, Takashi climbed alongside our team while carrying a tremendous amount of camera equipment and burying the responsibility of capturing the MK story. Despite having no climbing experience, he never once complained and demonstrated the power of his mindset in bringing any vision to reality! Takashi leads by example, are you? Be Your Own Hero!
You can read the full article and interview HERE.
It seems that IP may also have some international fans. German blog, Künstlertheke.de, profiled Takashi for his narrative short films. They discuss Takashi’s background and humble beginnings in film HERE.
These are a couple of screengrabs from our latest documentary. We visited the Massai tribe for a few hours while on Safari. Hope you enjoy!
Team Kilimanjaro left at 5 am this morning and reached the summit at 715! After a 12 hour climb through the Western Breach, Team Kilimanjaro camped at 18500 last night, setting up the historic summit on Jan 15th.
Bon Voyage. Next stop Amsterdam then Tanzania for 4 weeks.
Thank you Teva! Nothing beats some sponsored gear, as we prepare for the next documentary we will be working on in January 2012. Mission Kilimanjaro www.missionkilimanjaro.com
